My main criticism about the Kindle, Amazon’s eBook reading device, wasn’t really about the device itself, it was that in a world of smartphones, how many people are really going to pay $359 for a device that basically just reads books? And Amazon, which is first and foremost a book selling company, had to realize that its device, as good as it may be, is a limiting factor if it truly believes in the future of eBooks. And now I think it clearly does, as it has just launched Kindle for iPhone.
