Catch Last Night’s Super Bowl Ads Online

Mon, Feb 2nd, 2009

A snack/drink/bathroom run made you miss what everyone's talking about today—a great ad, of course. Take a look at three places you can catch up, in case one of them is blocked at work.

YouTube offers a neat grid view of all the multi-million-dollar marketing spectacles at Ad Blitz 2009. Click on an ad and it pops up and plays right from the grid. Those with better connections will want to hit the YouTube logo on a truly worthy ad to get to its own page, though, and check out the (usually available) high-quality version.

Hulu probably has a bit of an advantage with its Super Bowl XLIII Ads section, since one of its founding partners, NBC, was the broadcast host for last night's Steelers/Cardinals throw-down. They've also got a thumb-nailed grid of ads laid out for voting purposes, and each thumb links you to the ad's own player page. Rather annoying, though, is Hulu placing a (admittedly quick) commercial "sponsor message" before each clip—watching ads before you stream an ad seems kind of silly, and it's an intentional move by Hulu. A neat option for those with access to their own web spaces, however, is Hulu's embeddable ad player:
